Gary M. Perkiss, Esquire

Gary M. Perkiss has spent his career representing Pennsylvania and New Jersey businesses and business owners. Gary’s clients span all aspects of the construction industry, including owners, developers, architects, contractors and suppliers, commercial real estate transactions, including acquisition and sale, leasing, development, financing and management, as well as owners of numerous other commercial enterprises. With more than 40 years of commercial and business law experience, Gary helps his clients navigate the business world, from initial business formation and daily business operations to complex transactions and commercial litigation.

Gary also practices sports law. Gary is a Certified Player Agent by the National Football League Players Association and is a licensed athlete agent in Pennsylvania.

From 1978 to 1979, Gary served as a law clerk for the Honorable Emil F. Goldhaber, United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. For more than 25 years, Gary was a partner in a Center City Philadelphia law firm. In April 2008, Gary founded Gary M. Perkiss, P.C., a commercial boutique law firm based in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania.

Gary has been selected by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers as a 2022 Super Lawyer in construction litigation.  Gary also holds an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell which means that Gary has been recognized by his peers as a preeminent attorney. The AV rating indicates that a lawyer has reached the height of professional excellence and is recognized for the highest levels of skill and integrity.

Gary has lectured for Continuing Legal Education and Continuing Professional Education for attorneys and accountants in the areas of commercial litigation, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, real estate, construction, shareholders’ disputes and employment law. He has published articles on bankruptcy, asset protection and First Amendment rights.

As a long-time Montgomery County resident and community volunteer, Gary serves as general counsel of the Cheltenham Center for the Arts. Gary also served as President of the Board of Directors of the Cheltenham Center for the Arts and President of the Board of Trustees of the Jenkintown Library.
